Intense hydration from within - Improved skin quality and elasticity - Natural glow without adding volume
SKIN BOOSTERS: YOUR SKIN'S DRINK OF WATER
Skin boosters are a bit of a game-changer in skincare. Unlike moisturisers that sit on top of your skin hoping to sink in, these injectable treatments deliver hydration exactly where it’s needed – deep in your skin’s layers.
Think of them as injectable moisturisers. They contain a special type of hyaluronic acid that’s designed to spread through your skin rather than plump it up like regular fillers. Each molecule can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, creating little reservoirs of hydration throughout your skin.
What’s brilliant about skin boosters is they improve your skin quality without changing your face shape. Perfect if you want that dewy, healthy glow and better skin texture, but don’t want any volume added. Your skin just looks like the best version of itself.
The results are remarkable – skin that looks naturally healthy, deeply hydrated, and years younger.
YOUR SKIN BOOSTER JOURNEY
From consultation to glowing skin
SKIN ANALYSIS
We start by properly assessing your skin – hydration levels, elasticity, texture, overall quality. We use advanced diagnostic tools to get a complete picture. Then we’ll discuss what’s bothering you and explain how skin boosters can help.
CREATING YOUR PLAN
Based on your skin’s needs, we’ll recommend the best skin booster for you and design your treatment protocol. This includes which product to use, which areas to treat, and how many sessions you’ll need for optimal results.
THE TREATMENT
After cleansing (and numbing if you prefer), we inject the skin booster using precise techniques. For the face, it’s usually 5-10 injection points per side. The neck needs more points for even coverage. The whole thing takes about 20-30 minutes.
RIGHT AFTER TREATMENT
You’ll have small bumps where we’ve injected – totally normal, they flatten within hours. We’ll apply soothing products and give you aftercare instructions. Most people pop on some makeup and head straight out.
RESULTS & MAINTENANCE
You’ll notice initial hydration improvement within days, but the full effect develops over 2-4 weeks as the product integrates with your skin. Results typically last 6-9 months. We usually recommend 2 treatments a month apart initially, then maintenance every 6 months.
Frequently Asked Questions
Great question! While both contain hyaluronic acid, they work completely differently. Fillers are thick and designed to add volume and shape – they stay put where injected. Skin boosters are much more fluid and spread through your skin to improve quality without adding any volume. Think of fillers as sculptors – they reshape and add structure. Skin boosters are more like internal moisturisers that hydrate and improve. You won’t look ‘done’ or different with skin boosters, just healthier and more radiant. The injection technique is different too. Skin boosters use lots of tiny injections spread across an area, while fillers use targeted placement for specific enhancement.
Typically 6-9 months, though this varies. Younger patients with good skin might enjoy results for up to 12 months. More mature or very dry skin might need topping up every 6 months. The product you choose matters too – some formulations are designed to last longer. We usually recommend starting with 2 sessions a month apart to build up optimal hydration. After that, maintenance every 6-9 months keeps your skin looking its best. Many patients find regular treatments give cumulative benefits – each session builds on the last for progressively better skin quality.
Skin boosters are wonderfully versatile. The face is most popular – they work brilliantly for overall texture, fine lines, and that dull, tired look. The neck responds beautifully, especially if you’ve got that crepey texture that’s hard to treat any other way. The décolletage loves skin boosters – they can reverse years of sun damage and improve texture. Hands transform completely, looking younger without that overfilled appearance that traditional fillers can create. We also treat upper arms, knees, and elbows – anywhere skin quality matters. Some patients even use them for acne scarring or stretch marks, as the improved skin quality makes these less noticeable.
Skin boosters are very safe with minimal side effects. You’ll have small bumps at injection sites right after treatment – these are just the product deposits and they flatten within a day. Some redness and possible minor bruising is normal but easily covered with makeup. You might feel slight tightness as the product spreads and integrates. Serious side effects are extremely rare when done by qualified practitioners. The hyaluronic acid is biocompatible – your body recognises it and gradually breaks it down naturally. We use careful techniques to minimise bruising and ensure even distribution. Most people go straight back to normal activities after treatment.
Absolutely! Skin boosters play well with other treatments. They’re brilliant with Botox – one addresses movement and wrinkles, the other improves skin quality. Many patients have both in the same session. They also complement fillers beautifully. Fillers restore volume and structure while skin boosters improve the quality of the skin over them. For special events, we might combine them with our signature facials for immediate and long-lasting glow. Some combinations work better with spacing – like alternating with chemical peels or microneedling. During your consultation, we’ll create a treatment plan that safely combines therapies for maximum benefit.
