Face PRF

Advanced facial rejuvenation - Exceptional under-eye restoration - 100% natural using your own blood

PRF: THE GOLD STANDARD IN NATURAL FACIAL REJUVENATION

If you’re looking for genuinely natural skin rejuvenation, PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is in a league of its own. It’s a significant step up from traditional PRP, particularly for facial and under-eye treatments, and we’ve seen some truly remarkable results at our Harley Street clinic.

What makes PRF so special for facial treatments is how it actually works. Unlike PRP, PRF creates a clever three-dimensional fibrin structure that acts like a natural filler while slowly releasing growth factors over 10-14 days. This means your skin keeps regenerating long after you’ve left our clinic, with improvements that develop gradually and look completely natural – because they are.

The under-eye area is notoriously tricky to treat, but PRF handles it beautifully. That fibrin matrix provides gentle support while the growth factors get to work improving skin quality. It’s brilliant for dark circles, hollowness, and those fine lines that make us look tired – all without the risks that come with traditional fillers in such a delicate area.

We’ve spent considerable time perfecting our PRF protocols for facial aesthetics. We can create different consistencies depending on what your skin needs – liquid PRF for overall rejuvenation, gel PRF for areas that need a bit of subtle volume, and concentrated PRF for intensive regeneration. This means we can tailor the treatment precisely to different areas of your face.

The fact that PRF is 100% natural – using only your own blood – makes it perfect if you’re keen on authentic rejuvenation without synthetic products. Your body recognises it as its own, so there’s no risk of rejection or allergic reactions. Just safe, effective skin transformation that enhances what nature gave you.

YOUR PRF FACIAL JOURNEY

Natural transformation from consultation to radiant results

FACIAL ANALYSIS

We start with a thorough look at your skin, evaluating areas of concern, skin quality, and what you’re hoping to achieve. We’ll explain exactly how PRF’s unique properties can address your specific facial ageing patterns and create natural improvement that suits you.

BLOOD COLLECTION

We take a small blood sample (10-20ml) using special tubes – it’s just like having a routine blood test. The amount we collect is carefully calculated based on which areas we’re treating.

PRF PREPARATION

Your blood goes through precise centrifugation to create the PRF. This controlled process preserves that all-important fibrin matrix and regenerative cells. We prepare different consistencies – liquid for overall rejuvenation, gel for areas needing volume support.

FACIAL TREATMENT

Using refined techniques, we apply PRF through precise injections and/or microneedling. For under-eyes, we often use specialised cannulas for smooth, even distribution. A full face treatment takes about 45-60 minutes and honestly, it’s not nearly as uncomfortable as you might think.

REGENERATION & RESULTS

The fibrin matrix releases growth factors over 10-14 days, creating sustained regeneration. You’ll notice an initial glow within days, with progressive improvement over 2-3 months. Results typically last a very respectable 12-18 months.

Frequently Asked Questions

PRF is quite a step up from PRP for facial rejuvenation. While PRP releases its growth factors for just 2-3 hours, PRF’s clever fibrin matrix keeps them releasing for 10-14 days. That’s continuous skin regeneration rather than just a quick boost. PRF contains about 10 times more platelets than PRP, plus white blood cells and stem cells that PRP doesn’t have. For facial treatments, this means you’re getting proper tissue regeneration, not just collagen stimulation. The fibrin in PRF also acts as a natural volumiser, providing subtle lift and support – something PRP simply can’t do. Under the eyes, PRF’s gel-like consistency stays put better than liquid PRP, so there’s no migration and you get gentle, natural-looking volume where you need it. What’s particularly nice is that PRF needs no additives or anticoagulants – it’s 100% you. Most of our patients see better, longer-lasting results with PRF compared to PRP facials, which is why we’ve largely switched to PRF for facial treatments.

PRF is exceptionally good for under-eye concerns – often achieving results that genuinely surprise patients. For dark circles, it works in several ways: it thickens that thin under-eye skin that shows blood vessels, improves circulation to reduce pooling, and stimulates collagen to strengthen the whole area. For hollowness, the fibrin matrix provides immediate subtle volume while encouraging your body to regenerate its own tissue over time. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers which can sometimes cause puffiness or that bluish tint (Tyndall effect) under the eyes, PRF integrates naturally with your tissues. Results develop gradually over 2-3 months, which means they look completely natural – no one will know you’ve had anything done. Most people need 2-3 sessions for optimal improvement, and the results often last 12-18 months. We use specialised techniques including cannulas for smooth, even distribution in this delicate area. It’s one of our most popular treatments because it addresses a problem area that’s notoriously difficult to treat effectively.

PRF can rejuvenate pretty much every area of your face – we just adjust our technique for each zone. The forehead benefits from improved texture and softening of fine lines. Crow’s feet and the eye area see dramatic improvement in that crepey skin texture. Cheeks gain subtle volume and much better skin quality. Those nasolabial folds and marionette lines soften through collagen stimulation and gentle volumising. We can even subtly enhance lips with better definition and hydration. The jawline and neck respond beautifully too, with improvements in laxity and texture. We often do full-face treatments for comprehensive rejuvenation, or we can target specific areas that bother you most. PRF is also excellent for acne scarring – we use precise placement to stimulate healing in scarred areas. Each area needs specific injection depths and techniques – we go superficial for texture improvements, deeper for volume support. The versatility of PRF makes it brilliant for complete facial transformation that still looks entirely natural.

PRF facial results are impressively long-lasting compared to other non-surgical treatments. You’ll notice initial improvements in skin radiance and hydration within days as the growth factors start working. Over the next 2-3 months, the improvement continues as new collagen forms and your skin quality transforms. Peak results typically show at 3-4 months post-treatment. For facial rejuvenation, results generally last 12-18 months, though many patients tell us they see continued improvement even beyond this. Under-eye results tend to be particularly long-lasting because of the structural support from the fibrin matrix. How long your results last depends on various factors – your age, skin condition, sun exposure, and lifestyle all play a part. Most of our patients opt for annual maintenance treatments to keep things looking optimal. What’s nice about PRF is its regenerative nature – each treatment builds on previous results, so you often need less frequent sessions over time. It’s a proper investment in your skin’s health, not just a temporary fix.

PRF plays brilliantly with other aesthetic treatments and often enhances their results. The classic combination is PRF with microneedling (the real “vampire facial”), where the microchannels allow deeper PRF penetration for quite dramatic skin transformation. We can apply PRF immediately after laser treatments or chemical peels to speed up healing and improve outcomes. For comprehensive facial rejuvenation, we might combine PRF with dermal fillers – using fillers for specific volume needs while PRF improves overall skin quality. Botox and PRF complement each other perfectly – Botox deals with the dynamic wrinkles while PRF rejuvenates the skin itself. Some patients alternate PRF with treatments like Profhilo or polynucleotides throughout the year for maintained results. The key is getting the timing right and using complementary mechanisms. PRF can also enhance surgical results, improving healing and skin quality after procedures. During your consultation, we’ll design a combination approach that makes the most sense for your goals and maximises your results.
