Smooth dynamic wrinkles naturally - Preserve facial expression and movement - Quick treatment with no downtime

BOTOX: THE GOLD STANDARD IN WRINKLE REDUCTION

Botox is still the world’s most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment – and there’s a good reason for that. This treatment has completely changed how we approach wrinkles, offering a safe and effective way to tackle those expression lines we all develop over time.

At our Harley Street clinic, we’ve turned Botox into something of an art form. We’re not about creating that ‘frozen’ look you might worry about. Instead, we focus on helping you look naturally refreshed – the kind of result where friends say you look well-rested rather than asking what you’ve had done.

Our medical team really knows their facial anatomy inside out. This means we can target exactly the right muscle fibres to soften your wrinkles whilst keeping all your natural expressions. You’ll still be able to smile, frown, and show surprise – just with smoother skin.

We also offer Botox for medical conditions like chronic migraines, excessive sweating, teeth grinding, and muscle spasms. It’s quite remarkable how versatile and safe this treatment is when used properly.

YOUR BOTOX JOURNEY

From consultation to beautiful results

DETAILED CONSULTATION

We’ll start with a thorough look at your face and chat about what bothers you. Using a mirror, we’ll show you exactly which muscles are causing your wrinkles and how Botox will help. We’ll also go through your medical history to make sure Botox is right for you – it’s all about getting to know you and your needs.

TREATMENT PLANNING

Next, we create your personal treatment plan. We’ll work out exactly where to place the Botox and how much you’ll need. We might take some photos and ask you to make different expressions so we can see how your muscles work. This tailored approach ensures your results look completely natural.

THE TREATMENT

After cleaning your skin, we use tiny needles to inject small amounts of Botox into specific muscles. The whole thing usually takes just 10-20 minutes. Most people are surprised by how quick and easy it is – many don’t even want numbing cream because it’s so manageable.

IMMEDIATE AFTERCARE

You can get on with your day straight away, though we’ll give you some simple guidelines to follow. These include staying upright for 4 hours, avoiding the gym for 24 hours, and not rubbing the treated areas. Any slight redness usually disappears within half an hour.

RESULTS & FOLLOW-UP

Botox starts working within 24-48 hours, with the full effect visible by day 14. We offer a check-up at 2 weeks to see how you’re doing and make any tiny adjustments if needed. Results typically last 3-4 months at first, often extending to 4-6 months with regular treatments.

The Art and Science of Expert Botox Treatment

How Botox Actually Works

Botox is a highly purified protein that temporarily stops nerve signals from reaching specific muscles. When we inject it precisely, it prevents the release of a chemical called acetylcholine, which normally tells muscles to contract. This creates a temporary, localised muscle relaxation that smooths out the wrinkles above.

The real skill is knowing that you don’t need to affect all the muscle fibres. By targeting specific portions of muscles, we can reduce wrinkles whilst keeping essential movements. This is why choosing an experienced injector matters so much – the difference between looking naturally refreshed and looking ‘frozen’ often comes down to tiny differences in placement and dosage.

Our Advanced Injection Techniques

At our Harley Street clinic, we use sophisticated techniques we’ve developed over years of practice:

The Microdroplet Technique: Instead of big injections, we use lots of tiny ones to create smooth, even results without lumps or obvious transitions.

Vector Analysis: We analyse how your muscles move to place Botox exactly where it’ll have the best effect with the least product.

The Lift vs Relax Approach: Smart placement can create subtle lifting. For instance, if we relax muscles that pull down, the muscles that lift can work better, creating a natural lift.

Combination Strategies: We often combine Botox with other treatments. Botox with fillers tackles both wrinkles and volume loss. Botox with treatments like PRP improves overall skin quality too.

Treatment Areas Beyond the Basics

Most people know Botox for frown lines and crow’s feet, but we can treat so much more:

Bunny Lines: Those little wrinkles on your nose when you scrunch your face Lip Flip: A subtle upper lip enhancement without filler Nefertiti Lift: Contouring your neck and jawline Eyebrow Lift: A gentle brow elevation with strategic placement Masseter Reduction: Slimming your face and helping with teeth grinding Micro-Botox: Superficial injections that reduce pores and oil production

The Dr Cinik Difference: Precision Mapping

Our unique approach involves detailed facial mapping before we inject anything:

  1. We analyse your facial anatomy to understand your unique muscle patterns

  2. We test muscle strength to see how they work

  3. We identify any asymmetries that need balancing

  4. We work out precise doses for each area

  5. We mark exact injection points for accuracy

This careful planning ensures predictable, beautiful results every time.

Getting the Most from Your Treatment

To optimise your results:

Before Treatment: Avoid blood thinners (including fish oil, vitamin E, and ibuprofen) for a week before. Come with a clean face. Have something to eat beforehand to avoid feeling light-headed.

After Treatment: Stay upright for 4 hours. Skip the gym, alcohol, and hot environments for 24 hours. Don’t massage the treated areas. Make big facial expressions every hour for the first few hours to help the Botox settle in.

Maintenance: Regular treatments every 3-4 months prevent wrinkles from coming back. Many patients find they need less product over time as their muscles learn to relax.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all – that’s actually our biggest pet peeve! The ‘frozen’ look comes from poor technique or using too much product, not from Botox itself. We use sophisticated techniques that target specific parts of muscles rather than paralysing them completely. This means you can still move your face naturally whilst enjoying smoother skin. We believe the best Botox is invisible Botox – where you look refreshed and well-rested, not ‘done’. During your consultation, we’ll show you exactly how we’ll keep your natural expressions whilst smoothing those wrinkles. Our patients often tell us their friends notice they look great but can’t work out what’s different.

Botox doesn’t work instantly – it’s more of a gradual process. Most people start seeing subtle changes within 24-48 hours. By days 3-5, you’ll notice more improvement, with the full effect kicking in by day 14. This gradual onset means you won’t shock anyone with a sudden change! For first-timers, results usually last 3-4 months. With regular treatments, many of our patients find it lasts 4-6 months as their muscles get used to being more relaxed. How long it lasts depends on things like your metabolism, how strong your muscles are, and your lifestyle. Very active people or those with strong facial expressions might find it wears off a bit quicker.

Most people are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable Botox is. We use the tiniest needles – they’re like acupuncture needles – so you just feel a little pinch that lasts a second. The whole treatment involves about 10-20 quick injections over 10-15 minutes. If you’re particularly sensitive, we can apply numbing cream first, though honestly, most people don’t bother. Many patients don’t even close their eyes during treatment! Some areas like crow’s feet can be a bit more sensitive than others like the forehead, but overall it’s very manageable. We can also use ice before and after if you’d like. The fact that people come back every few months tells you it can’t be that bad!

When done by qualified professionals, Botox is very safe. The most common side effects are minor – things like temporary redness or tiny bumps where we’ve injected (these disappear within 30 minutes), a mild headache for a day or two (happens to about 1 in 10 people), or occasionally a small bruise that’s easily covered with makeup. More significant but rare side effects can include a temporary droopy eyelid or eyebrow (happens in 1-2% of cases and goes away within 2-3 weeks), flu-like symptoms, or slight asymmetry. Serious problems are extremely rare when proper technique is used. During your consultation, we’ll go through your medical history to check for any risk factors. We’ll give you clear aftercare instructions to minimise any risks, and our advanced techniques make complications very unlikely. If you have any concerns afterwards, we’re always here to help.

Botox works best for people bothered by expression lines – those wrinkles that appear when you move your face. It’s brilliant for forehead lines, frown lines between your brows, and crow’s feet, though we treat lots of other areas too. Good candidates have realistic expectations. Botox smooths out expression lines but won’t fix sagging skin or deep static wrinkles (those need different treatments). You should be in good general health with no neuromuscular conditions, and we don’t recommend it if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. Really deep, etched-in lines might need a combination of treatments for the best results. Age doesn’t really matter – we treat people in their 20s who want to prevent wrinkles and those in their 70s who want to soften existing lines. During your consultation, we’ll work out whether Botox alone or a combination approach would work best for you.
